Where to Wear Your Bridal Lingerie (When Your Wedding Dress Has Other Plans)
The beautiful set you can't wear under your dress
Modern wedding dresses are cleverer than you'd think
You found the perfect bridal bra. Maybe a delicate lace set, maybe a satin bodysuit, maybe a garter you've been saving to your Pinterest board since the day you got engaged.
Then you go for your first fitting and discover that your dress has built-in cups, internal corsetry, or a lining that does all the work for you. Many modern gowns are designed to be worn with no bra at all, so there is simply no room (and no need) for that set underneath.
If your dress is slinky and close-fitting, the garter is probably out too. Any strap or lace edge risks showing a line through the fabric, and your dress designer would much rather you didn't have that worry on the day. So where does all that beautiful lingerie go?
Your bridal era deserves more than a drawer
The wedding night isn't always the answer either
The classic advice is "save it for the wedding night". In reality, after a long day of ceremony, speeches and dancing until the early hours, most brides tell me they're ready for a shower and a very comfortable pair of pyjamas.
That's no reason for your lingerie to go unseen. You chose it because it made you feel gorgeous, and that feeling deserves an occasion of its own.
The best occasion to wear it: your bridal boudoir shoot
A moment for the lingerie, and for you
A bridal boudoir shoot is the one place your bridal lingerie is the whole point. It isn't hidden under layers of tulle or squeezed into a timeline. It's styled, worn and photographed beautifully, in a calm, private studio.
Whether you're planning a pre-wedding or post-wedding shoot, you get to enjoy this part of your bride era properly. And because I guide you on what to wear and what to bring, you don't have to guess whether a piece will photograph well. I'll help you choose your bridal look, plus a second, less bridal outfit if you'd like one.
A gift for your groom that only you can give
Forget the watch and the cufflinks
If you've been searching for a wedding gift for your groom that feels personal and unforgettable, this is it. Your session can become a mini album or a set of Polaroids, a private keepsake he can open on the morning of the wedding or on your honeymoon.
It's intimate, a little cheeky, and impossible to buy anywhere else. It also tells him, in the most personal way, how much you are looking forward to marrying him.
Walk down the aisle feeling like yourself
Confidence, before the big day
Wedding planning has a way of making you critical of yourself: dress fittings, workouts, skincare, the pressure to look a certain way. A bridal boudoir session is a gentle pause from all of that.
I direct every detail as we go, from your hands and straps to your chin and eyeline, so you never have to worry about how to pose. And I don't reshape or slim bodies in editing. What you see is you, shown at your best. Many brides tell me the moment they see their photos is when they finally think, "wow, that's me." That feeling goes with you down the aisle.
The smartest time to book: your hair and makeup trial day
One trip, one day, and everything ready in time
If you're planning a destination wedding in Mallorca, you're probably already booking a pre-wedding trip for your hair and makeup trial. My advice is to book your bridal boudoir shoot for that same day.
No extra appointment. The shoot fits around a day you've already set aside.
Your trial look gets photographed. You see how your wedding hair and makeup actually look on camera, which is useful in itself.
Hair and makeup are already done, so there's no second round to organise or pay for. You can even do your trial directly at my Palma studio.
Your album is ready on time. Shooting months ahead means your album, prints and groom's gift are finished well before the wedding, not squeezed into the final weeks.
What to expect at my Palma studio
Guided, private and entirely yours
As the only boudoir studio in Mallorca specialised in bridal boudoir, I've built the experience for brides who have never done anything like this and who often say, "I'm not photogenic."
Before your session we talk through your vision, and I send you a prep guide covering styling, accessories and where to shop. On the day you'll have your hair and makeup, guided posing, a relaxed break and a reveal where we choose your keepsakes together. Everything is private, nothing is shared without your say-so, and the whole experience runs in English.
Planning your Mallorca bridal boudoir shoot
Ready when you are
If your dress has left your bridal lingerie with nowhere to go, let's give it the moment it deserves. Tell me your wedding date, your hair and makeup trial date and what you have in mind, and I'll take care of the rest.
