The Sanctuary I Always Wanted to Build
A vision I had long before it was real.
When I opened my studio, I had a vision for exactly this kind of gathering — a sanctuary where women could come together, be entirely themselves, embrace their sensuality and their bodies, and connect with other women who understand without needing an explanation. Watching that vision actually become real, evening after evening, still makes me a little emotional. It's one thing to imagine a room like that. It's another to stand in it and watch it happen in front of you.
What If You Wore Lingerie Just Because?
No occasion required, no one to perform for.
Most of us only reach for our nicest lingerie when there's a reason — a date, an anniversary, someone else's eyes on us. But what if you wore it just because? Not to please or seduce anyone, not with the expectation that something needs to happen afterwards — just to feel liberated, to have fun, and to reconnect with that side of yourself. If you've got lingerie sitting in a drawer with no occasion in sight, that's exactly the gap this evening fills.
Five Reasons I Host the Lingerie Salon
Why I keep opening my studio doors for this, month after month.
I get asked why I do this often enough that I've got it down to five honest reasons. One, because I built my studio to be a sanctuary for women, and this is that vision in action. Two, because wearing lingerie is simply fun. Three, because wearing it just for yourself, not for a man, is even more fun. Four, because every woman needs a proper girls' night once in a while. And five, because being in a room surrounded by real women with real bodies is genuinely liberating, in a way that's hard to describe until you've felt it yourself.
What Actually Happens in the Room
A clear answer, for anyone wondering.
I want to be completely upfront about what this evening is, because I know the words "lingerie party" can conjure the wrong idea. This is not a play party, and nothing physical happens between guests. It's a night to connect, to laugh, to feel liberated in your own skin, and to be surrounded by other women — nothing more, nothing less. You come as you are, you wear lingerie if and when you feel like it, you have a drink, and you leave lighter than when you arrived.
What an Honour It Is to Witness
Vulnerability, trust, and real beauty, every single time.
What continues to strike me most is the trust. Every soirée, I watch women arrive a little unsure and leave completely open — vulnerable, yes, but embracing their own beauty and bodies in a way they rarely get to elsewhere. Being the one who gets to hold that space for them, again and again, is something I don't take for granted.
Real Women, Real Words
You don't have to take my word for it.
I could tell you how it feels, but I'd rather let the women who've actually been in the room tell you themselves.
"I found that it was amazing to be with another woman with different bodies, different shapes, and feel vulnerable and at the same time empowered, and it was amazing."
"I had the most incredible time at a girls' party. It always feels so empowering to be with other women and to let yourself be vulnerable and to witness everyone being so open and intimate. Compliment other women and tell each other how amazing everyone is. It's really nice."
"Adele has an amazing ability to make you feel truly seen and accepted for who you are as a woman, beyond conventional stereotypes and expectations around sensuality. I believe so many women need spaces like this — where sensuality can be celebrated, explored, talked about, and processed in a safe, loving, and judgment-free environment."
"Not knowing what to expect, I was a little nervous, but the second I walked through the door I felt immediately welcome and ready to show off my lingerie. Every woman there — we were all different ages, sizes, colours, nationalities and levels of confidence — made every other feel welcome, safe and beautiful. I highly recommend, even if you are a bit shy — especially if you are a bit shy — to take a deep breath and go."
